Latex gloves are easy to use, cold and heat resistant, and can prevent hands from directly touching dirty objects. In winter, wearing it to wash rice and vegetables can prevent aging and chaps. Wearing it can also prevent hands from being burned or stained with oil.
There may be itching and other symptoms after wearing. There are roughly two different conditions, and the prevention and treatment methods are also different:
1. Affective touch dermatitis. This situation is most common. Usually, it only shows redness, itching, dryness or cracking of the hand skin, which is caused by the influence of repeatedly washing hands with soap and detergent and not thoroughly wiping the hands. Wearing the hands will make the inside airtight; If it is a dry glove, it may be caused by talcum powder in the glove.
In this case, the treatment method is: before wearing gloves, wash the soap or detergent, wipe or dry your hands together, and then wear gloves; If the gloves are dry, the talcum powder inside should not be too much. These measures can prevent the onset of impact dermatitis. In case of an impact dermatitis, do not scratch. Apply calamine lotion and other antipruritic agents, and the symptoms will soon disappear.
2. Allergic touch dermatitis. It is characterized by itching of hands, dry or chapped skin, often accompanied by erythema or water scar, and generally no significant systemic allergic symptoms after 6-48 hours of touching latex gloves. It can be a delayed allergic reaction caused by allergy to some chemical components in latex gloves or chemicals attached to gloves.
In this case, the treatment is: continue to use latex gloves of another type. In order to prevent severe allergic reaction, it is better to use less or not. In case of allergic touch dermatitis, antihistamines should be taken orally and the hands should be rubbed with Piyanping. The symptoms of NJ subsided rapidly.
3. Latex allergy. Extremely rare. The skin is usually red and itchy within a few minutes to ten minutes after wearing gloves. The symptoms can be seen all over the body, often accompanied by reed measles, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, chest intrusion, heart palpitations, etc. Severe patients may have dyspnea, tachycardia, decreased blood pressure, and even anaphylactic shock, sudden death, etc.
In this case. The treatment method is: take off the gloves quickly, wash your hands repeatedly when smelling the physiological saline, and go to the hospital immediately for treatment. Those who have latex allergy should be prevented from touching latex gloves and other latex products again.
