There are many kinds of protective gloves, which should be selected according to the protective function. First, the protection objects should be defined, and then carefully selected. For example, acid and alkali resistant gloves, some are resistant to strong acid (alkali), some are only resistant to low concentration acid (alkali), and the resistance to organic solvents and chemical reagents are different. Therefore, it cannot be misused to avoid accidents.
Before use, the waterproof and acid and alkali resistant gloves should be carefully checked to see if the surface is damaged. The simple method is to blow air into the gloves, squeeze the cuff with hands, and observe whether there is air leakage. It cannot be used in case of air leakage. Protective gloves such as rubber and plastic gloves should be washed and dried after use. High temperature should be avoided during storage, and talcum powder should be sprinkled on the products to prevent adhesion.
Insulating gloves shall be regularly inspected for electrical insulation performance, and those that do not meet the requirements shall not be used. Contact with strong oxidizing acids, such as nitric acid, chromic acid, etc., will cause the product to become brittle, discolored, and early damaged due to strong oxidation. High concentration of strong oxidizing acid may even cause burning loss, which should be observed. Latex industrial gloves are only suitable for weak acids, sulfuric acid and various salts with low concentration, and must not contact strong oxidizing acids (nitric acid, etc.).
The following visual inspection shall be carried out before use:
(1) Whether the insulating gloves meet the requirements of the regulations.
(2) Whether the insulating gloves are intact, whether the surface is damaged and clean; Dust shall be wiped clean; Damaged and carbon imprinted shall not be used.
(3) Insulating gloves belong to rubber products, and shall not have defects such as trauma, crack, leak, bubble, burr, scratch, etc. If defects are found, they shall be stopped and replaced in time.
(4) Check whether the voltage level of insulating gloves is consistent with the voltage level of analog operating equipment. The voltage level of insulating gloves should be equal to or higher than the voltage level of analog operating electrical equipment.
